Hello!

Hello, everyone!

My name is Jiaqi Gao. I’m glad to be a student in this class. Although we are facing tough times together now, I am really excited to study with everyone. It has been two years since I came to the United States. I live here with my family. I like traveling, eating, and sports. I am a humorous person, like to make friends and share some interesting things with friends. I enjoy my life, so I often do some outdoor sports or shopping in my spare time to release my pressure. Of course, I also have a part-time job in New Jersey. Learning a second language is a big challenge for me, but I am confident that I will finish it. I also hope that I can learn from each other and make greater progress in this semester!

“Fast draft” assignment

By Thursday, July 9th, I would like you to post a rough draft of your paper to Blackboard. In a face-to-face class I would have you write a “fast draft” similar to what the textbook describes in Chapter 2.3, Drafting, but it is difficult to simulate this exercise online.

Rather than doing this, I would like you to submit your work on your draft in whatever state it is in by this Thursday. This is a firm deadline because the only requirements are that you submit the document and that it represent the stage of the process your draft is in on that day. Your draft can be rough, unpolished, even ugly. Just submit some form of your draft by the due date.

To submit your draft, go to the Paper 1 folder in Blackboard.
