From the “sorrow songs”, we can see the resistance of African Americans to unequal treatment. These songs represent the message that the black slaves conveyed to the world their grief and helplessness and their desire for freedom and equality. These “sorrow songs” also record history and the spirit of African Americans. These are very important and worth remembering for them.

These few songs impressed me very much. It is the first one and I like it very much. I think it expresses emotions incisively and vividly. Even if I don’t read the lyrics, I can feel sadness. Bel Canto’s singing is easy to bring emotions into the audience.
